Invisalign clear custom aligners can be a great treatment option for Surrey teens and adults who want straighter teeth, but don't want to deal with the brackets and wires that come with traditional braces.
What is Invisalign?
Invisalign is a series of clear, custom aligners that straighten your teeth just like braces do, but with a more discreet appearance. This makes Invisalign aligners an excellent, low-profile alternative to standard braces.
Our dentists at Guildford Heights Dental Centre will help you weigh the features of Invisalign and braces, to determine the right teeth straightening choice for you.
What are the features of Invisalign?
One feature of Invisalign is that the clear aligners are nearly invisible, giving your orthodontic treatment a more low-profile look. And secondly, Invisalign aligners are removable, meaning that you can eat, brush and floss with ease.
How does Invisalign work?
During your consultation, your dentist will determine if you are a candidate for Invisalign. We will then develop a detailed treatment plan and an Invisalign cost estimate.
Your dentist will take digital impressions and photographs of your teeth and send these, along with the treatment plan, will be used to create your custom aligners using 3D computer technology.
You'll wear each set of aligners for about two weeks. Throughout treatment, your aligners will gradually move your teeth in small increments until the final result is achieved: straighter teeth!
Nothing to hold you back!
In addition to their transparent plastic construction, Invisalign aligners have several other features that may appeal to patients requiring orthodontic treatment.
Because there are no metal wires and brackets, Invisalign aligners are often considered to be comfortable to wear. And because the aligners are removable, you can take them out to brush and floss, and for meals and snacks.
This means you can still maintain your usual oral hygiene routine, enjoy your favourite foods, and smile without holding back.
